Week 3: Creative Genius in Whakarua 4

This week there have been many opportunities for Whakarua 4 to show off their design ideas and creative skills. From design unique rain protection gear to abstract art we've all had a chance to shine.

Alongside this many students have put on their scientist hat and had a go at experiments from home.

Some students have already submitted their redesign of the "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" book cover for the competition (see the last few slides). I wonder which one is your favourite so far? Get your entries in to your home teacher by Sunday to have the chance to win extra Thank You tickets.

  2. Everyone has been so super busy with their home learning. What incredible artwork, such great colours and designs. The science experiments look like a lot of fun, especially the rainbow colours from the m and ms. Very clever. And those book covers are AMAZING, they really bring the characters of Fudge, Peter and Dribble to life. Great work everyone!

  4. Hello Christine. I like the way you put two layers of m&ms. It reminds me of a time I saw a rainbow. Next time you could put one m&m in the middle. From Warren.

  5. Hi Christine! I like the way that you have made a home made rain coat and shoes. This reminds me of a time when I tried to make one and I failed so bad so I quit and never did it again. Next time you could put some bits that your legs can go in just in case your wearing a skirt. From Aaleiyah.

I like the way that you color your animal mosaic with warm and cool colors.
This reminds me of the sun rising in the morning and the moon .
